Chopper October 2004 |

Our search began in early 2004 when my wife & I decided we wanted a family pet and was interested in the English Mastiff. Upon much research we found that this particular breed was very hard to find and expensive. My wife Dawn stumbled across the Forsyth County Animal Control Website thinking that perhaps we could possibly find a rescue Mastiff or at least resources to find what we were looking for. I received a phone call from her one day in October telling me there was a Mastiff/Mix that she thought I should go down and see. After work I went down to the shelter and there in a cage, scared and sick with a cold was a little brown puppy named Charlie M. Brown. I spent 30 minutes with him that afternoon, filled out all of the necessary paperwork and called my wife to give her my approval. I knew that when she seen him; she too would fall in love with him, and she did. Not only that she made a new friend, Kelly Nash who was volunteering at the shelter that day. Chopper, which is his name now will be celebrating his 1st Birthday in August and the time spent with him has been some of the best moments our family has had. Chopper has been the best companion/pet we have ever had and fills our hearts and home with love and joy. Before commiting to any animal, please visit your local animal control and rescue sites. You can make a difference and save a life. |

The girls are having a great time with Missy. But they changed her name to Lollilop! Isn't that cute? She is the sweetest bunny -- she lets my oldest daughter Maddie carry her around the house like a baby, on her back, legs in the air and seems to enjoy it. The dog loves to sniff her...a lot, but everyone seems happy. Thanks for working with us last week to get her. We love her. |
