Once we get enough volunteers, it would mean only about 1-2 hours every other week to make a huge impact!!

The Friends of the Shelter always needs volunteers. Our volunteers help in ways from bringing donations to the Shelter, washing shelter dogs, providing a temporary foster home for dogs, to helping at our weekly Adoption Fairs.

If you have a love for pets, and would like to increase the number of animals that are adopted each month, please review the list of volunteer opportunities, come to a volunteer orientation, and show these homeless animals how much you care!

We appreciate your help! Without volunteers, FOS would literally not exist!

Our current and future projects include:

* Assisting with the puppies and small dogs at

adoption fairs

*Baking and packaging biscuits for the shelter

dogs

* Learning appropriate dog and puppy handling

skills

*Designing the juniors bulletin board at the

shelter

*Exploring pet-related careers

Contact Lanette Martindale at 771-9298 or lolinske@yahoo.com if interested.
